Its consistency is a bit...umm...papery, but you have to chew it up really well to make it nice and soggy before you swallow it so that it won't give your mouth or throat a paper cut. Peppers, on the other hand, are a different story. Hot peppers like jalapeños, habañeros, and chipotles are good...but bell peppers and stuff are a bit nasty. They're easy to eat physically though because they can't cut your mouth or throat. Maybe burn them though.
